The Weekly Backlog Grind #7

The Weekly Backlog Grind #7

Welcome to post #7 of The Weekly Backlog Grind. It’s been quite a while since the last post, and I think moving forward I’ll be listing not only my backlog games but also current games that I’m playing. At the end of the day even current games can be considered part of my backlog if it hasn’t been completed. All current games I’ll do my best to keep spoiler free. So, these posts should be up weekly for the foreseeable future unless I go a week without playing a game which never happens. On with what I’m playing.

Currently playing :

Ghost Recon Breakpoint:

This game has gotten a lot of hate but most of the hate comes from the micro transactions. I’m on Act 3 and hope to have this beat by the next Weekly Backlog Grind with a review to follow shortly after.

Astral Chain:

On File 7. The story has gotten very interesting. I still feel like I’m far from finishing this but time will tell.

Gears of War 5:

On Act 2 of Gears 5. Major open world feels in this act and I’m not sure how I feel about it being in a Gears of War franchise that is always linear. It looks barren and I hope that’s not the case for the rest of the open world content.

NHL 20:

Decided on the Ottawa Senators as my team choice for my first franchise play through this year. Almost halfway done with the 2019-2020 season. Hanging in there and close to a playoff spot. I have thought about making individual posts about my franchise but I’m not sure that would bring in many views. If you would want to see one centered around this let me know in the comments.

Inmost:

Inmost hit the Apple Arcade on Friday and I was able to play a small portion of it. But I liked what I played. The pixel art is fantastic, and the touch screen buttons work well. I plan on connecting my Xbox one controller to my phone and try the game out that way too.

Embargoed Game:

I can’t talk about this game yet, but so far, I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played. I don’t think I’ll finish this by the embargo date so I can go into more detail on my next Backlog Grind post.

And that’s all my gaming for the week. Rather packed week considering I spent the weekend with the family visiting Boston and Salem. I had a very good time there and the misses and the kids enjoyed themselves as well. Hope your gaming weeks all went well. As always comment below and let me know how your gaming week went.

  1. I’m playing Gears of War 5 as well; I’m finding the story kind of slow and as much as I want to finish the game it’s hard for me to choose it when game time opens up. What are your thoughts?
