Quick Movie Review: Good Boys
A Superbad inspired movie produced by Seth Rogen and written by The Offices Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg follows the story of the Beanbag Boys, Max, Lucas, and Thor and an invite to their first kissing party with the “cool kids”.
While trying to figure out how to kiss (a simple google search for how to kiss probably would’ve helped) they turn to Max’s next-door neighbor. With the help of Max’s dads’ drone, they unsuccessfully spy on his neighbor and lose the drone in the process. They spend the rest of the movie trying to get it back. That’s all I can say without spoiling anything.
Good Boys is by far one of if not the funniest movie I’ve seen in a long time. It is, in my opinion, funnier than Superbad and 40 Year Old Virgin, which I rank in my top favorite comedies. Good Boys offered nonstop laughter (to the point I couldn’t breathe). It was hilarious and somewhat reminiscent seeing the world through the eyes of 12-year-olds. If you want a good comedy to see that will leave you in tears, then you need to see Good Boys.
