Anticipated Game for April – Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 set to release on April 23, 2019

The next installment of the iconic Mortal Kombat series Mortal Kombat 11 developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is set to release on April 23, 2019 in the United States and United Kingdom. Unfortunately, the Switch release for Europe has been delayed to May 19, 2019.

Mortal Kombat 11, like previous versions, is a multi-person fighting game and it brings with it the legendary Fatalities and Brutalities; however, this version introduces some new gameplay features. These new features promise even more brutal battles with enhanced graphics and animations. For example, the Fatal Blow becomes available after a player’s health drops below 30% and deals an extensive amount of damage but can only be used once per match.

This installation of the series follows the defeat of Shinnok at the hands of Cassie Cage in Mortal Kombat X. Raiden has vowed to protect the Earthrealm by obliterating any and all enemies. “The Keeper of Time,” Kronika is an enigmatic goddess who has taken on the endeavor of bringing order to the universe, even if that means obliterating Raiden to keep him from tampering with the past.

Mortal Kombat 11 stays true to the series principal tenets with organ-removing, brutal combat, but there has been a lot of evolution since Mortal Kombat first debuted in 1992.

I, like many others, am on the edge of my seat awaiting the release of Mortal Kombat 11. The count-down clock is on as April 23rd approaches.
